Data we collect
Information you provide directly: your email address and any details you submit when contacting us or subscribing to updates.
Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages visited, used for security and aggregate analytics.
We do not collect financial account credentials, and we do not ask for bank, demat, or trading account passwords under any circumstances.
Calculator inputs stay on your device
All calculator computations run locally in your browser. The amounts, rates and tenures you enter are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
Your theme and haptic preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device and are not transmitted to us.
How we use data
To operate, maintain and improve the platform; to respond to your enquiries; to send updates you have asked to receive; to detect and prevent abuse; and to comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who else receives your data
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. The companies below receive data because the platform cannot function without them, and each receives only what its job requires.
Vercel hosts the platform. Every request reaches them, including your IP address, browser and the pages you visit.
Neon stores the database. Everything held about your account lives there, encrypted at rest.
Google receives your email address and name if — and only if — you choose to sign in with Google. Signing in by email link does not involve them.
Resend delivers our emails. They receive your email address and the message being sent.
Gupshup and Meta deliver WhatsApp verification codes. They receive your mobile number and a one-time code, and nothing else: WhatsApp's authentication template accepts the code as its only parameter, so no name, amount or account detail can travel with it.
Cashfree verifies identity and bank details. For PAN verification they receive your PAN and name; for bank verification, your account number, IFSC and name.
BSE StAR MF receives the registration and order details required to place a mutual fund transaction, when you place one. This is the exchange platform the order travels through and the transaction cannot be routed without it.
Zerodha receives nothing unless you choose to connect your own broking account. If you do, the connection is authorised by you in Zerodha's own login and can be revoked there.
Anthropic assists in drafting market commentary. No personal data is sent — the draft is built from published market figures and sourced statements, and no holding, balance, name or identifier of any investor forms part of it.
Where a page embeds a third-party component, that provider will see your IP address, browser and the page you are on. Any such embed is confined to public pages and is never placed on a signed-in screen.
The reverse also happens, and it is worth stating plainly: our calculators can be embedded on other people's websites. If you meet one there, our server receives your IP address, your browser and the address of the page you are reading, because that is how any file on the internet is delivered. The widget sets no cookie, runs no tracking or advertising script, and asks for nothing. The figures you type into it are calculated in your own browser and are never sent to us.
Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
You have the right to access a summary of your personal data being processed, to seek correction or completion of inaccurate data, to seek erasure of your personal data, and to nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of death or incapacity.
You may also withdraw consent previously given, with effect from the point of withdrawal.

Retention and security
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law, after which it is deleted.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Cookies
We use only what is necessary to operate the site and understand aggregate usage. Where non-essential cookies are used, consent is requested. You may block cookies in your browser settings; some features may not function as intended if you do.
