Generational Compounder
Money that will not be needed for many years, held entirely in equity categories.
Summary
The Generational Compounder basket is an all-equity category allocation for a horizon of over seven years: two-fifths flexi cap, two-fifths in an index fund tracking the Nifty 50, a fifth in mid cap. It fits only an aggressive suitability tier with a long horizon, and the page says so against your own assessment. You choose every scheme.
The allocation, and why each sleeve is there
Flexi Cap
40%
SEBI mandate: At least 65% in equity, with no restriction on company size. Category risk: Very High.
At least 65% in equity across large, mid and small caps, with the manager free to move between them. The active sleeve.
Index / ETF
40%
SEBI mandate: At least 95% in the securities of the index it tracks. Category risk: Very High.
An index fund tracking the Nifty 50 holds the fifty largest listed companies at their index weights, at the lowest expense ratios in the category. The passive sleeve, and the one the active sleeve is measured against.
Mid Cap
20%
SEBI mandate: At least 65% in companies ranked 101st to 250th by market capitalisation. Category risk: Very High.
At least 65% in companies ranked 101st to 250th by market capitalisation. Held at a fifth because the suitability engine caps mid and small cap together at 40% of an equity sleeve, and mid caps fall harder and stay down longer than the index.

What to check before choosing
- Equity has had three-year stretches that ended below where they started. The suitability engine holds equity at 0% for money needed inside a year and caps it at 55% for a horizon under five years; this basket is 100% equity and is built for a horizon of seven years or more.
- The index sleeve is a Nifty 50 index fund, not any index fund. The explorer's index category also lists sector and thematic indices; the basket's rule is the broad one.
- Nothing in this basket is a small cap. The mid-and-small ceiling is met with mid cap alone, and a reader who wants small-cap exposure is adding a sleeve the basket does not carry.
What these categories have returned
The median across the schemes in each category that GrowIQ can transact, with the count it rests on. A fact about the category's past, not about any scheme in it.

Computed from NAVs published by AMFI. A category with fewer than three schemes carrying the figure shows none. Past performance may or may not be sustained in future and does not guarantee future returns. Returns of one year and above are compounded annually (CAGR); shorter periods are absolute. Figures are computed from published NAVs and are point-to-point.
Market figures are indicative and may be delayed. Past performance does not indicate future returns. Securities and schemes named anywhere on this platform are exemplary, not recommendatory.
Fund the basket
A SIP registers 120 monthly instalments here. Ten years of instalments, the longest most schemes register in one go. A registration can be extended; a horizon this long is the point of the basket.
From ₹500 a month every line clears the ₹100 minimum an instalment can be.

You choose each scheme. GrowIQ does not recommend one, and the explorer lists every scheme in the category in the same order whether or not you arrive with an amount. Nothing is submitted until you confirm it on the order screen, where the amount can be changed.
Questions
- Why is there no debt in this basket?
- Because it is built for money that will not be needed for at least seven years, and a debt sleeve exists to protect money that will. The suitability engine's ceilings — equity 0% under a year, 20% under three, 55% under five — are the rule this basket sits outside on purpose, and the page checks your own assessment against it rather than assuming.
- Is an index fund enough on its own?
- Many investors hold only an index fund, and the basket would then be one sleeve. The flexi cap sleeve is the bet that a manager adds something over the index; the index sleeve is the measure of whether that happened. Holding both is a way of finding out, not a prediction of the answer.
- What return does this basket produce?
- Nobody knows, and this page does not say. What it shows is the median three- and five-year return of the schemes in each category that GrowIQ can transact, as a fact about the category's past with the date it was measured. Past performance may or may not be sustained in future.
Beside your risk profile
This basket is 100% equity. It sits within the starting allocation of no suitability tier — every tier's allocation starts below it. Sign in and take the risk profile, and this page will compare the basket with your own assessment.

What this page is not
- Not a list of schemes. GrowIQ Capital is an AMFI-registered distributor (ARN-352082), not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, and names no fund for anybody.
- Not a forecast. The category figures are medians of past returns with the date they were measured to; past performance may or may not be sustained.
- Not an order. Each link carries an amount to the explorer; nothing is placed until you confirm it on the order screen, where every figure can be changed.
