Mutual funds you can start a SIP in from ₹100: questions
How many mutual funds match this?
No schemes currently match this rule in the exchange scheme master. The master refreshes daily and this page recomputes with it.
Can I really start a SIP with ₹100?
In these schemes, yes — ₹100 or less is the minimum instalment the AMC has registered with the exchange, and it is the figure an order is validated against. It is a floor, not a recommendation: a ₹100 instalment builds a corpus at the rate ₹100 a month builds a corpus, which the SIP calculator will show you before you commit.
Is a ₹100 SIP worth it given the expense ratio?
The expense ratio is charged as a percentage of the amount invested, so it does not become disproportionate on a small instalment the way a flat fee would. There is no minimum-balance penalty in a mutual fund. What a small instalment does change is how long it takes to reach any given corpus, which is arithmetic you can run yourself on the SIP calculator.
Is this list a recommendation?
No. It is every scheme matching one stated, checkable rule — Minimum SIP instalment of ₹100 or less, and SIP registration currently permitted. It is ordered by minimum SIP instalment, smallest first, so the order is reproducible and carries no judgement.
